The biggest – nearly 3000 attendees - luxury travel event on the planet celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. The sheer volume, the fanfare, the top-name entertainment, and the many complex presentations and video productions provided IMP with an array of creative challenges. But the results were worth the extra effort! Still, we are glad it is all over for another year – and we are grateful for the chance to catch up on our sleep.

IMP captured the essence of a family meal on HD featuring Naturesweet Tomatoes. Our patient actors enjoyed hours of delicious meals while our Food Stylist created them in her makeshift garage kitchen (the real kitchen was being used on camera!). Despite high levels of anti-oxidents… our team ate more cherry tomatoes than seemed prudent at the time. Everyone survived.

Attending a real Cretan wedding was a highlight of our trip… along with the other amazing sights, sounds and tastes of Greece. 350 of the world’s top luxury Travel Advisors and purveyors of luxury travel products came together to discuss international trends in the industry and challenges of the future. We staged the entire event for them and pre-produced graphics and video.

IMP created animations for 10 screens at this year’s AMD Smart Home – front and center at 2008 International CES in Las Vegas. We then captured the excitement on HD for later use by AMD. Very innovative presentation technology added to the creative challenges faced by our graphic design team – but as you can see, it was one of the coolest exhibits at CES.

IMP’s intrepid international team journeyed to St. Petersburg, Russia in the dead of winter to produce this luxury travel consortium’s annual overseas event. Despite cramped conditions in small (but beautiful) venues, it was a big success! Working with Russian audio-visual specialists was an exercise in diplomacy – but it all worked out thanks to hand guestures. There was even a giant political protest and riot police to add to the excitement during our stay! The highlight of the trip was a private celebration and dinner at Catherine’s Palace!

A yearly event sponsored by American Express Publications, this event presented a theme of health, well-being & philanthropy in 2008. Delegates from around the world attended to network, learn and more. IMP created elaborate video productions for a number of luxury product companies and produced & staged the entire event with the assistance of Staging Solutions out of Houston.

Virtuoso is the exclusive reseller of Virgin Galactic’s amazing space travel product. We joined them at – where else? – the Kennedy Space Center in Florida as they learned about space travel and spent days training on this new product. We’ll be there at Virgin’s Mojave Space Center later this year when the first aircraft is unveiled. I don’t think they will let us post those top secret photos!
